After Tiffany and Gabe's wedding has been featured here, here and here we figured it was time to feature it right here on the Layers of Lovely Blog. Tiffany had a vision for her wedding of whimsy and romance that we are so delighted to have had the opportunity to help her bring to life for her backyard affair. During our initial meeting she asked for a soft color palette of blush pinks, soft greens, pops of dark salmon and a buttery yellow. With her wedding being in the spring we were excited knowing that there would be quiet a few floral options to chose from in her color palette.
The morning of their wedding we all held our breaths for good weather that evening since the day started out with a little bit of snowfall. Thankfully the sky cleared up, the winds calmed down and Tiffany and Gabe were married in beautiful spring weather. Everything came together so perfectly and all of this couples planning paid off. Check out these pictures by Emeric Photographers of this very special day.
As guests walked in they were greeted by moss initials hanging on the front doors of the beautiful house. It was important to Tiffany that the letters have a softer font than the traditional blocky letters to be the first representation of what guests were going to experience through out the rest of the wedding.
Tiffany's bridal bouquet consisted of a mix of soft color and a few hints of the colors that were found in the bridesmaids bouquets. We used creamy vendela roses, crystal blush mini callas, white ranunculus, and even some sweet little white blooms called spray allium. To bring in some whimsy we accented the bouquet with hanging amaranthus and white feathers. The bridesmaids carried a complimenting mix of roses, tulips, ranunculus, wax flower, and hanging amaranthus as well as a few feathers.
We honored Gabe's father by using a piece of his prayer shawl in the arrangement that hung above Tiffany and Gabe during their ceremony as well as pinning a boutonniere onto a sash on the chair where he would have sat.
A vintage Rolls Royce!
We had two designs for the centerpieces. The first was a complete arrangement of parrot tulips that sat in a low clear vase. The second was an arrangement of roses, tulips, ranunculus, hippercum berries, viburnum, wax flower and mini callas all in the soft sweet color palette of the day. To bring a little sparkle in we misted the second designs vases with gold which picked up the candle light flawlessly. Tiffany brought us some little birds that sat in the centerpieces and were so cute.
And by the way, I was obsessed with their cake by Las Vegas Custom Cakes. Apparently Gabe had allot to do with picking out the design of this beauty. LOVE!
Congratulations Tiffany and Gabe!
