Tricia and Mark's October Ceremony

When photographer, Ron Miller, handed me the disk of images from Tricia and Marks 10/8/10 wedding he warned me there was a huge selection of floral pictures. I couldn't wait to see the images and his work has made it hard to pick a select few to share on the blog, so this is an extra special lengthy blog post.

Tricia's vision for her wedding changed throughout the planning process a few times but when she finally settled on something we were off and running. She asked us for shades of purples, pinks, with touches of gold and greens. To make things even more fun she kept describing her wedding gown as vintage and wanted a colorful, fun, chic and vintage vibe to her floral. We are very excited to share with you today Tricia's wishes and our creations.

How stunning is our bride?

I couldn't resist sharing this sequence of images of the couple's daugther. She is too cute for words.

We are so lucky to work with wonderful and stylish brides like Tricia as well as a great team of wedding vendor professionals.

Karena and Tom's August Affair

Karena and Tom were married on a very hot August day but it was none the less beautiful. When I spoke with Karena she wanted something elegant and charming. Her main floral color was orange which we accented with some ivory and greenery which all went so well with the turquoise she had picked for her bridesmaids ribbon and table runners.

Angelica from Green Orchid Events did a great job keeping the day organized and making sure everything ran so smoothly. The couple started out at the Palazzo Hotel and Casino for some fun pictures with photographer Ron Miller. The ceremony was held at St. Frances De Sales and was followed by a reception at Maggianos Little Italy inside the Fashion Show Mall.

This is one of my favorite pictures.

How adorable is their little ring bear?

We left the cake decorating up to Angelica at Green Orchid and she did an amazing job.

Congratulations Karena and Tom!

This wedding has also been featured on Brenda's Wedding Blog.

Layers of Lovely in Print

You may remember us talking about working with some amazing photographers when they came to town for the WPPI conference about the creative freedom they gave us for their shoots. One of those photographers was Laura Ivanova who recently contacted us to let us know a picture of hers from the shoot of one of our bouts has been used in a layout for Southern Weddings Magazine. This is so exciting to us because it is the first of many published pieces. One of our major goals is to be seen in magazines and be a leader in the floral and bridal industries.

Everyone has a beginning, welcome to ours.

A huge thank you to Laura for letting us know about being in the magazine and for taking these pictures of the the magazine for us. We can't wait to work with you again next year.

A High Style Chicago Affair

The first weekend in September we had the opportunity to travel out to Chicago to assist one of our dear friends, Jenna Bruhn of Avant Gardenia Floral Design with an amazing wedding. Danielle's colors were deep plum with accents of slate and canary. The wedding was held at the Adler Planetarium which has soaring floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.

The bride looked stunning in her Amsale gown and jeweled headband. For her bridal bouquet, we did 3 varieties of plum callas for some depth with some unique plum orchids to accent. It was finished off with dusty miller to bring in a gray hue and wrapped in plum ribbon with a brooch to compliment the one on her gown.

Thank you so much Jenna for having us out to see how things are done in Chicago, we can't wait for the next chance we have to work together.

If you're planning on tieing the knot in the Chicago area make sure to check out Avant Gardenia Floral Designs. Jenna does truly amazing work and provides each of her brides the highest quality of service.
